Creating a user-centric design vision for Tizen mobile.
The Tizen user experience allows for barriers between apps to disappear so that personal information canreach the user more efficiently.
Creating a user-centric experience for the Tizen mobile OS
Tizen is an open and flexible operating system built from the ground up to address the needs of all stakeholders of the mobile and connected device ecosystem, including device manufacturers, mobile operators, application developers and independent software vendors. Tizen is developed by a community of developers, under open source governance, and is open to all members who wish to participate.
The Tizen operating system comes in multiple profiles to serve different industry requirements. The current Tizen profiles are Tizen IVI (in-vehicle infotainment), Mobile, TV, and Wearable.
This project required us to find common ground in the development of a coherent UX across systems and devices. We worked in close relation with engineering teams to create something unique and easily maintainable.
I was focused on the UX and UI design aspects of the project where my role was to produce ideas and documentation that would support the technical teams. We were encouraged to place the user at the centre of the entire UX in order to create a personal feel to the system.
During this project I was responsible for building an interactive prototype with developers and ensure quality. I followed the development stages and regularly reviewed, analysed and tracked the bugs and fixes required.
